Every year I plan a new cosplay for the Disney Run. This year, I wanted to do Din Djarin - cause… he’s awesome.
So, in early January I started assembling the materials needed: a Mandalorian helmet construction pattern, sheets of EVA foam, cutting mat, x-acto blade, gLuke, spray paint… and patience!
Once the constriction was finished, I used my dremel to smooth out the edges. Then, I created the specific details for Maondo’s helmet.
Multiple layers of spray later - and it’s done!
By the time I got onto the armor pieces, though, it looked like the Disney run was going to be cancelled because of the COVID-19. I was determined at this point to finish it, so I put in the work to get it completed.
I’m happy with the way that it all came out! Next up? Start looking for the clothing pieces under the armor… I’m off to Goodwill!
